Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SameNorth’s websites, applications, and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use SameNorth for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

02

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. SameNorth is intended for adult parents, guardians, and caregivers; children may not create accounts.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by SameNorth.

03

The SameNorth service

SameNorth provides tools for coordinating family schedules, parenting time, handoffs, holidays, and related information. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Features may change as the Service develops. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we will provide notice where required by law.

04

Family information and responsibilities

You retain ownership of information you submit. You give SameNorth permission to host, process, reproduce, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the right and authority to provide information about family members and children and to share it with people you invite. You are responsible for choosing who has access to your family space and for keeping schedule information accurate.

A family-viewer invitation grants limited, read-only access to the published family calendar. A relationship label such as guardian, grandparent, or caregiver is descriptive only; it does not establish guardianship, custody, or decision-making authority.

SameNorth is a coordination tool. It does not establish or modify legal custody, override a court order or parenting agreement, provide legal advice, or guarantee another person’s compliance. Do not use the Service for emergencies.

05

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to threaten, harass, surveil, or harm another person;
  • submit information you do not have the right to use or that infringes another person’s rights;
  • access another family space or account without authorization;
  • interfere with, reverse engineer, probe, overload, or bypass the Service’s security or access controls;
  • introduce malware, scrape the Service, or use automated means except through interfaces we authorize; or
  • resell, sublicense, or exploit the Service to build a competing product without our written permission.
06

Google services

SameNorth may let you sign in with Google or connect a dedicated Google Calendar. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.

Calendar sync is one-way from SameNorth to a calendar created by SameNorth in the Google account you authorize. Changes made in Google do not change the SameNorth schedule. If you disconnect, future synchronization stops, but the calendar and existing events remain in Google until you remove them there.

07

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, and connected calendars. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their own terms and privacy practices apply to your use of them.

08

Intellectual property and feedback

SameNorth and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, and other content, excluding information you submit. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

09

Suspension and termination

You may stop using SameNorth at any time. You can disconnect integrations in Settings and may contact support@samenorth.app for account assistance.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the Service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” SameNorth disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You remain responsible for confirming critical schedule, handoff, holiday, and safety information directly with the relevant people. SameNorth is not a legal, medical, emergency, or professional-advice service.

11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SameNorth and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SameNorth’s total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid SameNorth for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, the courts located in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the Service.

13

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and SameNorth about the Service.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@samenorth.app.
